When painting exteriors, the most important thing is preparation. Paint is only as good as the surface it is being applied to. |

All exteriors should be pressure cleaned to remove all loose paint, dirt and mildew. |

The surface needs to be clean and free from chalking. |
| |
| |
» |
All windows and joints are caulked to prevent water from penetrating behind the paint, which would cause blistering. |
| |
| |
» |
Patching should be done to all cracks on stucco (with an elastromeric compound).
| |

Apply a surface conditioner (primer or sealer) to seal any chalk left. |
| |
| |
» |
Apply one or two coats of 100% acrylic paint. One coat is sufficient if the walls are in good condition and there is not a drastic color change. |
